Out With the Old
July 22, 2009
OUT WITH THE OLDThe D700, a compact variable frequency drive (VFD), will replace Mitsubishi’s S500E model because of their similar footprints and mounting arrangements. The D700’s improvements include 150% more motor torque at 1 Hz using general purpose magnetic flux vector control, giving an open-loop speed range of 60:1. The D700 communications include Modbus RTU, as well as Mitsubishi Electric’s RS-485 programming protocol, supported as standard. The D700 comes standard with a safety stop circuit and is RoHS-compliant.
