The NX series of slice I/O now offers direct EtherNet/IP connection to any device, from any manufacturer, that communicates over the EtherNet/IP industrial network. The company also has expanded the modular I/O lineup with high-density input, output and mixed I/O units. While most models connect with screwless wiring terminals, MIL connector models with screw terminals are available. The devices connect to the EtherNet/IP factory network to provide real-world data to the company’s CJ series PLCs, controllers from other suppliers and enterprise systems. In-line serial communications units allow machine designers to connect one or two serial devices directly to NX I/O EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT slave units.
