I/O module 750-663/000-003 uses a combination of a SIL-rated safety module and an intrinsically safe module to provide functional safety in the areas of industrial automation technology and process technology. It is designed to be used in hazardous location applications in which functional safety needs to be implemented to protect both people and machines. The module supports the Profisafe protocol and can be used with Profibus and Profinet distributed I/O nodes to connect to higher-level safety controllers. Features include four safety-oriented digital inputs, clock outputs and diagnostic LED display elements.
