CiA plans upcoming technology presentations

3 international CAN events and 2024 conference highlight controller area network

CAN in Automation (CiA) has scheduled three new technology days in European and Asian countries. The controller area network (CAN) presentations will be given in English. The web-based Chinese technology day on September 14 will focus on specific application fields and topics, relevant for the Chinese CAN community. The onsite CiA technology day in Italy will take place on October 25 in Lomazzo. The CiA technology day Taiwan for the growing CiA membership in that country is planned for November 21 in Kaohsiung.

During the events, speakers will discuss the latest trends in CAN-based networking, including CAN FD and CAN XL. Additionally, they will consider the impact of these trends on CAN-based higher-layer protocols, such as CANopen or J1939. Items and activities in CiA working groups also will be discussed.

In addition to its technology days, CiA will host its 18th international CAN Conference on May 14-15, 2024, in Baden-Baden, Germany. Abstract submissions for presentations are being accepted through September 15.

CAN experts from all kind of application fields are invited to discuss their latest developments and solutions in the application fields of CAN with long-standing experts in CAN-based networking. Topics will be CAN, CAN FD, and CAN XL.
