XP Power Programmable dc power supplies

The PLS1500 series of 1,500 W-rated, 1U high, 19-in rack-mount programmable dc power supplies include five units. They offer dc output voltages of 30, 50, 100, 200 and 400 V, all with a 1,500-W power rating. As many as four units can be connected in parallel (master/slave mode) for higher power (6 kW) and up to two connected in series for higher voltage (up to 800 V) and power. Digital rotary controls on the front panel provide output voltage and current adjustment. As they are velocity-sensitive, a slow turn allows fine adjustment to an accuracy of 0.1%. The inbuilt 12-bit D/A and A/D converters allow the units to measure voltage and current with similar accuracy.
