The MDP92A is a front-end power module for SEW-Eurodrive’s MoviDrive modular inverter system. Its actively controlled dc-dc stage regulates the dc-bus voltage and controls the current and power drawn from the supply. This enables peak-power limiting, reduced line-current harmonics and the optional use of capacitor storage for energy buffering. When storage is added, regenerative energy can be retained and reused instead of dissipating, while stored energy can provide limited ride-through during power interruptions. As part of the Movi-C automation platform, the MDP92A supports coordinated energy management across multi-axis systems.
