The HG2J series 7-in touchscreen HMI is equipped with projected capacitive touch panel (PCAP) technology designed to save space, improve performance and provide wear resistance. PCAP glass requires fewer layers than traditional analog resistive plastic films, and the self-capacitance technology also can prevent accidental input from water droplets. It is more resistant to scratches; won’t turn yellow in the sun; and has tolerance for dirt deposits and for contact with cleaning or washdown chemicals. Fewer layers and better light transmission ratings mean less backlight power is needed. It provides a 500 cd/m² brightness level and 50,000-hr backlight life.
