Welcome to the Next Decade!"

The Moscone Center in San Francisco welcomes Semicon West July 13-15. Technologies from electronic design automation and device fabrication to final manufacturing will be featured along with technologies for emerging markets and technologies born from the microelectronics industry, including micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), photovoltaics (PV), flexible electronics and displays, nano-electronics and solid-state lighting.

Dr. Bernard S. Meyerson, IBM fellow and vice president, innovation & global university relations, IBM Systems and Technology Group, will open the sessions at 9 a.m. on July 13 with his presentation, "From Ghz. to Systems to Solutions: Our Industry in Transition."

On July 14 at 1 p.m., Dr. Paolo A. Gargini, chairman, International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS), and Intel fellow, Technology and Manufacturing Group, will present "Welcome to the Next Decade!"
