Cognex Corp. and Siemens have agreed to extend their cooperation in the vision sensor market segment, with Cognex providing Siemens with DVT vision sensors and FrameWork software. Under the terms of the agreement, Cognex will continue to provide Siemens with Cognex DVT vision sensors and FrameWork software to serve the machine vision needs of their global automation customers.
"I am pleased by the extension of our agreement with Siemens," said Jim Hoffmaster, Cognex president and chief operating officer. "Siemens' customers will continue to have access to a full line of world-class products to meet all of their vision needs."
Herbert Wegmann, head of the factory automation Sensors subdivision of Siemens A and D, said, "With the extension of the partnership between Siemens and Cognex we will continue to grow our customer base. Machine vision applications are more and more important to our customers and we will be able to satisfy their demands with our broad offering of vision products."
