Bodine Electric announces new president

Jeffrey Bodine retired as president of Bodine Electric in early April. He has been with the family-owned company for more than 48 years, serving as president since 2017. When announcing his retirement, Bodine stated, “Leadership transitions are significant milestones, particularly in a company like Bodine Electric with a proud family heritage, and I believe this transition will be seamless. I move into this next chapter of my life with tremendous confidence in our team and in the future of Bodine Electric Company.” He will continue to serve as the company’s chairman of the board.

During their annual meeting in April, the company’s board of directors elected Jeff Stahl as the new president. Stahl has led Bodine Electric’s finance department for more than 25 years as chief financial officer. Bodine expressed his confidence in his successor: “Jeff brings strong operational insight, steady leadership and a deep appreciation for Bodine’s culture and values.”

Bodine Electric celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2025 and continues to design and manufacture small electric motors, gearmotors and motor speed controls.  Bodine Electric’s products are designed for industrial and commercial applications such as medical devices, scientific and laboratory equipment, labeling equipment, printing presses, packaging equipment, factory automation, conveyors and chemical pumps for the oil & gas industry. Bodine Electric corporate office and manufacturing operations are located in Peosta, Iowa, with a sales and innovation center located near Chicago in Northfield, Illinois. Bodine’s quality management system is certified to ISO 9001.
