Arthur G. Russell names David Dechow as principal vision systems engineer

AGR expands high-speed assembly and vision expertise with addition of industry veteran

Arthur G. Russell (AGR), a machine builder and system integrator with expertise in automated assembly systems, added David L. Dechow as principal vision systems engineer.

Dechow brings more than 35 years of experience in machine vision, computer vision, robotics and industrial automation and is recognized as an industry expert in machine vision integration, automated inspection and vision-guided robotics. He will serve as AGR’s principal corporate resource for vision system development, design and implementation, supporting automation projects across the organization.

Throughout his career, he has designed and integrated hundreds of machine vision systems, advised manufacturers across diverse industries including automotive, medical device, pharmaceutical, logistics, defense, electronics and food & beverage and helped advance the adoption of machine vision technologies throughout industrial automation. His experience includes leadership and technical roles with organizations including FANUC America, Landing AI, Integro Technologies, Motion Automation Intelligence and pioneering machine vision integration companies that he founded and operated.

In addition to his engineering accomplishments, Dechow is a respected educator, author, speaker, and industry advocate. He serves as an instructor for A3’s Certified Vision Professional (CVP) program, has trained hundreds of engineers in machine vision technologies. Dechow was also honored with the Automated Imaging Association Achievement Award, recognition for leadership and contributions to advancing vision and imaging technologies.
