Acromag Acquired the Assets and Hired the Employees of Xembedded, Creating a Product Range From CPU Products to I/O Solutions

Acromag acquired the assets of Xembedded, adding Xembedded’s products to its own line of defense and industrial electronics. The combined product portfolio ranges from CPU products to I/O solutions.

“Xembedded products are known for high quality and technology,” said David Wolfe, Acromag’s president. “Their focus on VME, VPX and COM Express platforms complements Acromag’s FPGA, PMC, XMC and I/O technologies.” The move also extends production of Xembedded’s many legacy products, he added.

Acromag has also hired all of the employees from Xembedded to support the products that will be in the new Xembedded Group, which will be added to Acromag’s existing Embedded Solutions Group and Process Instrument Group.

Xembedded’s processor and I/O VME boards are used in machine control, medical equipment, automotive, robots, scanning equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, homeland security, military, industrial welders, power generation, and high-speed packaging applications. “Using the engineering resources of Acromag, I believe we can begin a new era for the Xembedded products,” Wolfe added.
