MELServo-J5D servo amplifiers are suitable for medium to large servo applications requiring multiple drive units capable of managing regenerative energy. Available in 400-V and 1- to 7-kW capacity, the amplifiers expand the existing drive capabilities for the J5 portfolio and are compatible with J5 servo motors. In a typical common dc bus servo system, these servo amplifiers are connected on a dc bus bar connected to an MR-CV power regeneration converter unit. The unit converts 400-Vac power to dc. Regenerative energy then can be shared among the different servo drives or recaptured and returned to the power supply.
