RAY10 and RAY26 photoelectric sensors work with a 2-D light band that allows them to detect flat and location-tolerant objects on conveying systems. The compact RAY10 and the performance-oriented RAY26 are specialized for different installation and detection conditions. Instead of emitting a single beam of light, RAY10 sensors generate a 25-mm band—or array—of light that hovers just above a conveyor or sorter’s surface. The RAY26 emits an even larger band of light at 55 mm to detect objects of varying heights. This span of unbroken, continuous light allows the sensor to detect the position and location of the leading edge of an irregularly shaped object or part.
