Eplan set to launch automated schematic generation software
April 13, 2017
Eplan Cogineer will debut at the 2017 Hannover Trade Fair, which runs from April 24 – 28
Eplan will soon launch Eplan Cogineer, a software package that generates schematics automatically, at the 2017 Hannover Trade Fair later this month.
According to Eplan, the major benefits will be time saved and error avoidance. The software is able to generate complete electro-technical documentation with a single click. This hopes to ensure error-free implementation of all defined rules and structures, by keeping quality documentation and potentially shortening the order fulfillment timeline.
Eplan Cogineer is fully integrated into the Eplan platform shared by Eplan Electric P8 and other Eplan software products. This allows users to create project data in Eplan Electric P8, and then generate the schematics using that data in Eplan Cogineer without any duplication of effort. “One hundred percent data continuity from design to construction allows Eplan Cogineer users to precisely process customer projects without delay,” says Dieter Pesch, Eplan's senior vice president of product management and development
Eplan says that expert knowledge about configuration or variant management is not required - just standard knowledge of how to use macros and that a mechatronic rulebook and configuration interfaces can be put together without knowledge of any high-level programming languages.
