The Emparro AccuControl uninterruptible power supply (UPS) extends the Emparro power supply system by keeping machines running by switching to battery operation in the event of a power outage. External lead batteries with a capacity of up to 40 Amp-hours are connected to the UPS module to prevent prolonged outages. The UPS monitors continually the connected batteries’ internal resistance. When a limit is exceeded, the device sends a warning over a signaling contact. The battery replacement then can be planned for the next scheduled service. This predictive information prevents unplanned downtimes and avoids the need to arrange for service visits on short notice.
