Belden and Tripwire: The Next Generation of Cybersecurity Solutions

On December 9, 2014, Belden Inc., a leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, announced it was acquiring Tripwire, a leading global provider of advanced threat, security and compliance solutions, for $710 million in cash.

The acquisition came just three months after both companies announced a joint initiative to improve critical infrastructure cybersecurity in manufacturing organizations.

Tripwire's solutions enables users such as manufacturers and government agencies to detect, prevent, and respond to growing security threats effectively. Belden's goal with this acquisition is to be able to deliver its customers with a comprehensive portfolio of cybersecurity solutions that can be deployed across enterprise, industrial, and broadcast markets.
