The trade association and its board support the use of robotics and automation
The VDMA Robotics board appointed a new board member. Erich Schober, CSO of Kuka Deutschland GmbH, succeeds his former colleague Michael Otto, who left Kuka at the end of last year.
"I am very much looking forward to collaborating and shaping the board of the VDMA Robotics Group. Against the background of new technologies, innovations and markets, this is more exciting and important than ever," Schober says.
VDMA represents more than 3,500 German and European mechanical and plant engineering companies. The VDMA Robotics + Automation Association (VDMA R+A) is a trade association within the umbrella of the VDMA with more than 370 member companies, including suppliers of components and systems from the fields of robotics, integrated assembly solutions and machine vision. The industry association’s goal is to support robotics and automation through a wide range of activities and services.
