The Association for Advancing Automation outlined six key policy necessities that would give the U.S. a boost in the robotics sector

On Mar. 26, the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) presented its national robotics strategy to the U.S. Congress, partner publication Machine Design reported in March.

The plan presents a forward-looking framework that could directly impact how automation technologies are developed, adopted and standardized in the U.S. industrial sector. The full plan can be found here.

Central to the strategy is the proposal to establish a federal robotics office and commission, which would coordinate policy, drive innovation and create a unified national approach to robotics development.
